Hi, I’m Tobi

Since 2012, I have lived and worked on Gabriola Island, in Snuneymuxw First Nation territory.

In 2022 I was elected as Trustee for Gabriola, Mudge and DeCourcy Islands and I continue to serve in this role today. I love my job. In everything I do, I strives to be inclusive, adaptive, and to achieve collaborative decision making with government and communities.

  • In development for Arise Enterprises: Wild Horses (documentary following world-renowned natural horsewoman and her husband mentor and transform a wild group of orphan Brazilian boys into horsemanship leaders and sons), the Trapper of Peace River (life and death from the perspective of a trapper and wildlife advocate, Carl Gitscheff, in the crosshairs of industrial development in northern BC British Columbia. The mines bring prosperity to Tumbler Ridge but cause unintended consequences when industry, animal habitat and humans collide, forcing Carl to confront the loss of his only refuge and his hoped-for inheritance to leave his young daughter: the wild.
