Throughout her decade in community, Tobi has worked from an approach of inclusive, adaptive, collaborative decision making with government and community groups.

1. Community Plan
Modernizing and completing our Official Community Plan
- Equitable and deep engagement
- Ensuring landholders, renters and rights-holders are heard and represented
- Honouring wisdom of our elders, local and First Nations knowledge holders
- Ensuring local farmers, families and the next generation are considered in decisions
2. Island Life
Landowner options protections for nontraditional housing, in order to maintain the island way of life. (- bold part added by L as suggestion)
- Gabriola/rural islands are not cookie cutter, need a suite of housing solutions to meet the needs of diverse property owners residents and their families
- ownership options: clustering, cooperative housing arrangement to reduce costs
- Homes for Working People and Families, not subdivisions

- flexibility to add additional units based on need
- reducing barriers in navigating regulations
3. Protecting Water
- Gabriola’s groundwater must be protected
- ensuring rainwater harvesting systems are used where appropriate
- protecting our ocean's health (reduce development that would impact shorelines)

- standing against fossil fuel pipelines coming through these waters

- pitching to the Province to support the Conservancy, as it is growth model
- engaging Snuneymuxw First Nation toward shared stewardship of public lands
